Contact Eric and Alan

Thanks for listening!

Yep, we finally got tired of getting spam e-mailed to us and changed the contact form to more of a "Guest Book" form. That's kinda cool, cause it's almost a blog... in that you can see comments from others! If you want your comment to reach us, but would rather we didn't leave it up on this page, just include that in the note and we'll remove it.

Your comments help us make the podcast better. We definitely read and usually try to respond to each comment that we get, so tell us anything!

OK, so it's not much really... but we had a request for a mailing list to let people know when the next 4-Cast would be ready. And since Eric and Alan are lousy at remembering weird names, we just decided to call it "everyone".
So, If you're interested in being on this announcement-only type list, send a blank email (with your return address) to

Hey guys,

This is Jason Dyer from the college quartet (norcal east champs) Epic. I was wondering if you two
are gonna make it out to harmony camp this fall (sep 26-28), and when another 4-cast will be
released. It would be cool if you could do some interviews from harmony camp!! Lateshow is the
featured quartet this year.

Anyway I just wanted to know what is going on with you guys and see if anything is in the works.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Jason Dyer, Epic bass

Hey guys -- just wondering what y'all are up to with the site. Hadn't heard anything for a
long time, or at least I should say, I heard this last Rick Spencer interview and hadn't seen
anything since then.

Are you on hiatus? Just doing other stuff? Folks want to know! Or at least, I do!

OK - finishing a degree, falling off of a bike, having a new child. I suppose that you are busy
(Eric). I am not privileged to inside information on Alan, but we can assume
that he is similarly occupied. Heck! we are all just way too busy these days!

Sure do miss those podcasts, though. Will we see a return any time soon?

What's really sad is that we have interviews in the can from summer that we still haven't
shared with anyone. Eric has a brand new baby boy (http://www.brickson.net), he's finishing
nursing grad school, and more. I am busy coaching a state champion robotics team
(http://www.legoguards.net), and volunteering at a local school helping with their music program,
plus work has grown to include projects in Australia and Vietnam. But, Yes! - We just can't
tell you exactly when!

Hey, guys:

Love what you are doing for barbershop, just wish it could be more regular.
Hey, the links on the archive page to podcasts #17 and #18 are broken - they
contain periods instead of slashes in a few places (directory names).

Unfortunately, this breaks the lil' script I wrote to download the latest podcasts!

Hope somebody can fix them!

Thanks,

Are you guys at VIH rehearsals? Are they gonna be dark for a bit? I am thinking about dropping by

Let me know...love the podcast as usual...

Hi guys,

I've loved your podcast from the start - and in the interest of 'you can never have too
much barbershop' I decided to start my own over here on the East coast. However - I need some
advice.

Is there really enough listeners in the Barbershop world to support 1 (or 2) podcasts - I've
been asking around and it seems there are very few who actually are podcast junkies.

What advice can you give to someone who wants to create a successful podcast show?

What are some important elements that you would see necessary for a great podcast?

Thanks for any help you could give me...

Welcome back...I have my ITunes scheduled to download the show, and thought you guys were lost in
cyberspace somewhere. Well, I do admit I get a kick listening to you guys; thanks for keeping me
company as I was taking my walk last night with the Ipod, making sure I my lungs were in good shape
for Denver, where I'll be performing with the 'smallest' chorus from Easton PA. Yeah,
28 guys...smaller than most front rows! We're sure to be a hit, and with Gentry's new
Oliver medley, it'll be a blast.

Guys,

What a great show. I have just recently gotten back into Barbershopping.(like, three weeks ago
recently) I listen to a lot of podcasts and just for kicks and giggles I went looking for a
barbershop podcast and was greatly rewarded to find yours. I recently downloaded ALL the episodes
and have been devouring them left and right, at work, mowing the lawn, running, biking, washing
dishes, talking with my wife, playing with my kids....oh wait maybe I should put this down for
awhile.

Anyways, thanks for a great show and I hope that you will continue with the show. I'm
definitely considering a donation. Take care!

Alan and Eric,

Both of you have been very busy these days, I'm sure, but I have a selfish request. I'm a
Nashville native who was a member of the Music City Chorus back in the mid-90's. With the new
headquarters moving to Nashville, I would be pleased to hear any interviews with some of the locals
involved in the process, and also some conversations with members of Music City Chorus and the brand
new chapter founded just in time for the March Dixie District contest, the Dirty 38's
(Brentwood, TN, suburb of Nashville). I miss my home town a lot these days (typical barbershopper
sentiment) and it would be nice to hear some hometown voices from days gone by.

I really enjoy the show,

Mike

I dont think I messed up too much. Claire does a nice job with the newsletter and won 2nd place for

Hi Lee!

Thanks for the comments!

First, the web page is fixed... (my bad, sorry) - #16 has no mention of the Gaither interview at
all!

Second, we'd love to look at the article, either before or after you publish it, even if you
get everything wrong, the old saying holds true: there's no such thing as bad publicity!
